A
NOTE FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT
The new housing market within the Village has dramatically
changed in 2006. We presently have about 25% of the new home
construction compared to the last few years. Not only that,
but there is unusual large number of homes for sale in the
area. Certainly gas and interest rate increases have had an
affect on this.
As I am sure everyone has noticed, the street project for
the Village this year was the streets in the mobile home park.
Because this was a large project and the Village wanted the
lowest construction cost, this project took several months.
This situation certainly produced added inconvenience for
the people affected, but I hope the finished product will
soothe some of the problems created. I would like to thank
all of the residents of the mobile home park for their patience
during this project. If there are any problems after construction
completion, please contact my office with your concerns.
The new upgrade to the Wastewater Treatment Plant has basically
been completed and is on line. We were very fortunate that
the construction schedule was able to be met on time and with
few problems. We all can be very proud of the finished product.
An open house of the plant is being discussed for this fall
and I hope everyone will take the time to attend.
If I can be of any help to anyone about anything, my office
door is open. I will try to solve any problems that may exist.
Sincerely,
Willard Moeri |

Smoke
Detectors
When you set your clock back, remember to change the batteries
in your smoke detectors.

Brush and Yard Waste
Pickup
Brush, leaves and yard waste will be picked up on Mondays
and Tuesdays when possible. Bags are to contain yard
waste only – no household garbage. Bags should not weigh
more than 30 pounds. Brush is to be cut in 3’ lengths,
bundled, and placed at the curb. If these
requirements are not followed, the brush and bags will NOT
be picked up.
Park Building
Are you planning a graduation, wedding, special event or just
a party? Check out the Village Park Building. A serving area
has been added for your convenience. If interested call the
Village Clerk at 749-3126.
Winter Parking Ordinance
November 1, 2006 – April
1, 2007
There is no parking allowed on the Village
streets overnight between 3:00 AM – 6:00 AM. Vehicles
will be ticketed. If there is a snow storm, vehicles may be
ticketed and towed.
If you have an emergency and need to park overnight in the
street, please contact the Roberts Police Department at 749-3467.
Roberts Veterans Memorial
Site
Plans are underway for a new Roberts Veterans Memorial within
the current Roberts Centennial Park grounds on the corner
of West Blvd. and W. Pine Street. The Roberts Park Board hopes
to complete this addition by Mid-November. If you are interested
in purchasing an engraved concrete paver with the name of
your deceased local Veteran, please contact the Village Clerk’s
office for more information. We look forward to honoring all
those that have served our country. |

Water/Sewer
Billing
The Village has considered monthly water/sewer billing. At
this time, monthly billing is not cost effective. Therefore,
we are offering for the Village residents to pay monthly on
their own.
An example would be if you have a $180.00 water/sewer bill
due by October 26th, you would pay that bill in full. In November
and December, you would pay $60.00 per month and have January
as the clean up month.
If you have any questions, please contact the Village Clerk’s
Office.
Senior Center
The Roberts Senior Dining Site is open two days a week. Meals
are served on Monday and Wednesday – 9:30-1:00 PM. The
Senior Center has many activities planned. Contact Betty Anderson
at 749-3755 for more information.
Roberts Park Vandalism
Each year, the Roberts Park Board is faced with the daunting
challenge of allocating funds for items needing to be repaired
and/or replaced by vandalism that occurs down at the Roberts
Park area. Please remind your kids of the responsibility that
we all have to maintain our community park areas and that
the costs needed for repairs, is money that could be spent
on new, or upgraded items! If you or your children see vandalism
happening, please contact the Roberts Police Department. Thank
you.
Street Lights
If you notice a street light that is blinking or completely
out, please contact the Village Hall. The Village Clerk will
report the street light to Xcel Energy and get it fixed.
Municipal Court Dates
The Municipal Court is up and running. If you are curious
how it is run, you are more than welcome to attend. The Court
is open to the public and starts at 6:00 PM. Dates are:
October 26,
2006
December 14, 2006
January 25, 2007

(1-800-2PAY-TAX) or go on line at www.witreasurers.org.
